My three year old loves this toy! We are on our second one because he literally wore out the first one. So having said that, with extended use the tape on this can wear out. I think he just used it too often and the tab broke off and things got stuck. I think that it is good enough quality to invest in another one. Do note that it does make a loud noise when you reel it in. It doesn't bother me, but it may be annoying to some.

My daughter loves this toy! She especially enjoyed the loud cranking sound when unwinding and winding it back up. Unfortunately the little tabs that cause the sound broke, but she still loves it. Tried finding the replacement wheel part to fix it, but can't seem to find it. Great product still.

My 2.5 year old loves this, he pulls the tape out and I rewind it, repeat repeat repeat! I think it would be easy enough for him to wind up once he tries. I do want to note that it makes a somewhat loud crank/clicky sound when you wind it back up. The tape is fabric or some sort of soft material so it’s still definitely a much safer alternative than a real tape measure!

Wonderful toy for your little carpenters. My grandsons always want to play with a real one, but I feared they would get hurt. This one is great. They feel like they can help with their own tools. Totally recommend

It works well as a toy and seems sturdy enough. But as others have pointed out, this makes very loud noises when pulling out and retracting the tape measure. It really is unnecessarily loud and annoying. Thankfully, I was able to fix and completely remove the noise it makes using only a phillips screw driver and a pair of nail clippers. Here's what I did:1. There are 5 phillips screws on the back of the toy. Remove these screws and keep aside for reassembly.2. pull apart the two parts of the outer case. Keep the crank piece downward since that side holds the mechanism and tape and you don't want that to fall out.3. inside you will see a yellow ring in the center where the tape winds and in that cavity are two small prongs that stick up (see image). These are what makes noise as the prongs move across some plastic ribs on the adjoining piece.4. simply use nail clippers or some other tool to clip off the tops of these 2 prongs (~4mm worked for me).5. replace the top part of the casing and install the screws.Hope this works for others!

This is an AMAZING toy!! I love that it is accurate in measurements...some are just toys and the measurements are inaccurate or don't exist(pretend only-which honestly is confusing), which means that this "toy" can grow with my daughter and be used for years to come. It's quite durable, my 3yr old has been using it many times a day for a week and it looks brand new...This thing has been inside and outside, all over measuring everything she can find...which is also helping her with her numeral identification.The tape part is nice because it is vinyl(easy to clean, won't hurt little hands, and hard to rip). With a large, easy grip, pull out tab.The handle is perfect for little hands to hold, both in carrying and in using.It is easy for my 3yr old daughter to roll up by herself with the winder.This is a great tape measure for boys or girls :-)

Attention à la photo.M'a femme a achetée ce mètre à ruban en joué pour notre fils qui est de qualité jolie ,mais lors de la réception du produit oops il est gros comme mètre à ruban ( la taille n'est pas comme les mètres à ruban que l'on peut trouver en boutique de bricolage il est 4 fois plus gros) .
