The product itself was superior, in every way. I love it. But it came damaged. Three of the four corners were damaged, one badly chipped. I suppose the carrier, UPS had something to do with it. The package itself looked like it had been dropped out of an airplane. I was amazed that the item was basically still intact. However, some of the blame must go to the seller itself. They have to improve their game if they want to stay competitive. The half inch styrofoam at the corners and back was not protective enough. You could reach in and touch the table in three places where the box took damage. For an item this expensive, more beefy padding should be used, especially at the corners. I would return the item, but as I've read in other reviews, the next one may be worse, rather than better. I just got out the super glue and glued the chips I could find back to the table top. Assembly was easy. The design was well thought out. The wood is beautiful. The phenolic top was fantastic. If you only had a better packing and shipping design plan.
