I am not tall, but the short style is too short for good protection, IMO. Why is there no size between 'short' and 'extra-tall'? SO, I got the extra-tall style. Basic construction, with no shaping but very wide Velcro. As expected, it was too tall, and scrunched down in folds whenever I had to kneel. Unlike poorer quality ones, though, the leather is decent quality thickness and bound on the edges, so it will actually be a bit of effort to cut them down. Not counting this as a flaw; just a warning. (I did buy a medium-height pair from another vendor, but they were a ripoff - so thin you could see light through them in spots. So, I went with these...but don't expect them to fit if you are short.)

These fit well, I am 6'2 and 250 lbs, wear a 12.5 shoe and they cover boots/shoes to end of the toe, just the sole sorta undercovered. The wrap is plenty to fit, saw a review about these only fitting children(almost didnt buy because of this comment) but being that I am not exactly a small guy, unless they had some ginormous kankles I dont see how it could be an issue unless they got a random bad set made small. These fit fine and will keep the metal bits off my shoes. Easy to put on and take off, just velcro on the heel side.
