MG leatherworks sent me this absolutely stunning gig bag to review.The bag I received is in black crazy horse leather. The stitching and leather is all very well done and very high quality. High quality YKK zippers are used for the closures, and the strap has a nice high quality clip retainer. The padding on the sides is over an inch thick, with a soft velvety material inside.The bag has an accessory pocket on the outside which is big enough for your mouthpiece and valve oil, but not big enough for any music or mutes. The pocket measures about 12.5" long by 6.5" deep.Inside dimensions are around 16" long by 8" tall, which should make this case suitable for a piccolo or pocket trumpet, or a shorter cornet. I recommend measuring your instrument before you order, and make sure it is shorter than around 15". My american style long cornet is around 16.5", and roughly an inch of the instrument sticks out when I try to close it (not counting the mouthpiece of course).Overall opinion is that I love this bag and will be looking for a shorter british style cornet so that I can make use of it. This is the nicest of all the trumpet/cornet bags I currently use (and I have about 10 cases at the moment).

Fits my Schilke P5-4 piccolo trumpet perfectly.(Leadpipe needs to be all the way in) The case is durable and lightweight. The extra pocket is the perfect size to fit a mouthpiece pouch and some oil and cleaning brushes, without getting bulky. The plush lining looks like it will have excellent protection for my trumpet. The handle and comfortable shoulder strap make it easy to carry. Overall, the case is a fantastic investment for anyone who needs a case for a piccolo trumpet.
