It's flush design uses a detachable faceplate and it is easily installed using the included hardware. A built-in "eyebrow" directs light down toward the floor, table or other nearby surface. This was a replacement for my RV hall light. It is a bit smaller than the original and made the retrofit a bit problematic. The Kelvin temperature is not posted in the light information but it is not the cold blueish light of some of the LED's. It is more of a clean white with a hint of blue. This light is much brighter than the old one. We are pleased with it and use it as a night light. If you are doing a new install it is a perfect choice. For a direct replacement of the traditional fixture, I wish the size was a better match.
