My local hardware store didn't have the size cap I needed to cap my gas dryer. Amazon did. It fits well and does what I needed it to.

Converted from gas to electric but I wasn't comfortable with the gas valve alone because it is a quarter valve that takes very little force to turn by accident. This valve doubles as a second line of defense and caps off the gas line physically. It's also affordable enough and quality brass although the material is not very thick, it works in my case.

Was unable to find these at local hardware stores. Cap for Freon valve on Carrier mini split installer failed to put on which allows for Freon leak . Fit perfect

Not sure why I keep buying these. I have to modify them for most of my male flare connections. I grind off about 1/4" of the threads so the cap will seat on the flare and not jam on the threads without seating. I'm not sure if the flare fitting manufactures are responsible or the cap manufacturer is using a filled in nut fitting minus the flared pipe. Of the last four I've had to grind down three to get them to seat. They work, but modifying them is getting old quick...
