Simple, accurate, professional, no fuss push button to measure laser distance measurement, it does not get simpler than this, it does have Bluetooth to connect to the disto app, has a backlit lcd screen and can be switched to continuous measurement. The disto app is nice and adds to the record keeping (device itself does not store measurements) simple 3d dimensioning, and adds layout tools.Measurements are taken from the back of the device as starting point and can not be switched to measure from front of device as starting point, this is not really a limitation but should be noted. Laser is red, It uses 2 AAA batteries with good battery life. Its simplicity makes it a joy to use, if professional basic is what you want look no further. For the professional grade device the price is justified.

I have several different models and they have all lasted a long time. The only downside is that the battery door on everyone that I have has to be tweaked so that it doesn’t come loose and the batteries fall out.

I have been trying to find a way to do existing measurements with a laser measurer and put them directly into a cad program. I first tried the Bosch GLM 50C which could send dimensions to Floor Plan Creator which could then export the file as a DFX file. Floor Plan creator is a challenge to do existing plans with. Next the DFX file doesn't convert directly to a DWG plan. It has to be resized to the right scale and then traced. Searching the Chief Architect site it says two of the expensive Disto measurers would work. It wasn't clear if this inexpensive Bluetooth measurer could be used with Home Designer. Further down the page it says there is a program, Disto transfer PC. It took some effort to figure it out, but it does work well. Choose to transfer lengths in decimal format instead of feet and inches as Home Designer doesn't like the fractional inch format from the Disto.There is also a Sketch Plan app that can export a DWG file. I think this will work too, but haven't tried it enough yet to know.

Works great, easy to pair with my phone. I use with "Floor Plan Creator" app. It does everything the Disto app does, and it is free.One suggestion, i wish it came with a case

Compré este producto para hacer levantamientos arquitectónicos y me ha servido bastante. El láser es de muy buena calidad y puede leer distancias incluso en plena luz del dÃa pero con distancias no muy grandes. Se siente bien hecho y es resistente a caÃdas y salpicaduras leves. Utiliza pilas AAA y le duran bastante.Es sumamente sencillo de utilizar y si lo emparejas con la app para smartphones puedes tomar fotos e irle metiendo las medidas de lo que quieras medir para entonces tener una foto con cotas. La función de generar planos es muy buena pero si quieres medir fachadas a la distancia se vuelve más complicado y será necesario pagar una subscripción a Leica, lo cual no me gustó nada.El distanciómetro no puede medir ángulos lo cual es raro porque hay otros productos de menor precio que si pueden hacerlo. A pesar de eso, recomiendo mucho el producto porque es de buena calidad y es fácil de usar.

Very simple to use and extremely accurate and consistent. It costs a little more than many but worth the dollars. I have used some that are so inaccurate that they are worse than not having one at all...

Easy to use, can measure in mm and inches which was dubious about as couple reviews said shame only measures in inches, but you just go in menu and change it, so easy to do, can also measure if hold button down, if say fitting kitchen to get exact measurement across wall just keep moving along until measurement you need, has been really helpful addition to my tool kit.
