This was my first pair of trekking poles. I purchased them for a 30hr ultra trail run that I probably shouldn’t have been doing since I had injured my foot a month earlier. But, then again, I signed up for an ultra and that should tell you something about my decision making.The gloves/shark system: Absolutely love it. Genius. I didn’t have to grip the poles and waste energy. I could still swat bugs and pick them out of my eye without feeling like I needed to do something with the pole. It stayed attached if I wanted it to. It was super easy to figure out. The push button release had just enough resistance so that you didn’t accidentally release them.Make sure you measure and get the correct size poles. These are NOT adjustable. They fold and extend fully with a snap of a button that pops out when engaged - like a tailgate or beach tent if you’re familiar with that. I read some posts on a running group that said they sent two sets back before they realized they just weren’t pulling them to full extension. I would have done the same thing had I not read that.Durability. So far so good. They still look new except the tip, but that’s still in great shape after a rocky, muddy, clay, and sandy course.Lightweight. Yes yes yes. I stowed them in my hydration vest and literally forgot they were there.

My son is an ultra runner and runs in multiple races. He has an upcoming run the Georgia Death race 75 mile in the mountains. He placed in the top 10 last year without trekking poles He has been training with the new LEKI Ultratrail FX.One Carbon Collapsible Lightweight Trekking Poles I purchased for him and states that the poles are a game changer and have held up well to the terrain. I will update once he runs his race in March 2025.

I got these as a gift for my dad who is very active with ultra running. Once he opened these up his face lit up! Said he's been eyeing them for awhile now. He got them and immediately took to the trails. He got back and threw his old pair in a storage bin. They are incredibly light and feels great in the hands. The shape of the grips are made perfectly so your not forcing them to move.Absolutely great product! They will have a full test coming up when he does his 100 mile ultra

These sticks arrived on time. These sticks are great for trail running. They are light and provide me with the additional support I need when climbing uphill and running downhill.

The poles are nice and light and seem to have good durability for a carbon fibre pole. The grip system is fantastic, allowing you to swing the pole forward easily, rather than having to keep a tight grip on it. So far I've used these poles for a 118 km ultra and a few trail runs. So far, I'm very happy with them.
