From Amazon and Ebay, I've purchased an approximate 12 Leofoto products. After reading the negative reviews on their replacement foot for the 70-200 f2.8 VR S lens, I was hesitant. I have been using using the Leofoto QD strap with Leofoto QD adapters attached to the OEM foot. But, I was tried of this arrangement and ordered this foot and the versions of the Leofoto QD 70-200 f2.8 VR Fl and the Nikon 300 f2.8 replacement feet. A perfect fit with all three lenses, even just hand-tight on the 70-200, there was absolutely no wobble. Having used a number of RRS and Kirk products, which were great, I have no reservations using Leofoto products.

Unfortunately, Nikon does not make an Arca compatible foot for their 70-200 and 100-400 Z mount lenses. This foot works well. Easy to attach and detach from the lens, and easy to mount on a tripod.

I decided to brave it and order this, having had wonderful luck with my other Leofoto equipment. In fact, the very same item for the Sony version of this lens is phenomenal. This product, however, is hot garbage. As seen in the photo, when installed, the lines do not mate up properly with the Z 70-200 f/2.8S. It does not feel AT ALL secure; when the knob is loose, the foot can wobble back and forth, up and down, etc. Only when you torque the living daylights out of it does it actually tighten on the lens. With A Z9 or Z8 body on the lens, the QD mount is too far forward to hang balanced, so the front of the element ends up pointing upward. The entire design of this product feels like it was for an entirely different application.I was hoping for results contrary to the other top reviews here but sadly, I'm walking away disappointed and am going to be returning this product immediately today. I cannot trust an expensive camera to hang from this or sit atop it on a tripod, so a competitor foot or OEM foot with plate will have to do.

I was excited to get this at over 1/2 the price of a RRS version (which wasn’t available when I purchased this). I usually don’t go for the cheap stuff, because inevitably I end up getting the better versions. But I really wanted the QD function, which is an awesome way to attach a strap. So I decided not to wait for the RRS foot. The Leofoto just doesn’t tighten down. It’s secure, but the foot wiggles. Which makes it useless for slow-shutter speed tripod shots. And who knows if it will ever give out. Does not inspire confidence. So I ordered the RRS version today. Dammit.

Requires an adapter piece to make it work. SUpplied with the foot, but it makes it seem like the original machining spec was not that good. Still fits and works fine.

The price is great over name brand but needs a bit of improvement

I purchased the foot with the hope that it would replace the original Nikon designed foot. While it is possible that the accessory sent was defective, the one I received would not tighten securely to my lens. Even when the locking know as tightened completely, the foot would wiggle and could be slid off by clicking on the release tab.I am not implying that all Leofoto feet are defective, but mine certainly was.

This foot seems well made but it won't tighten and always seems loose. I'm replacing with kirk.

Yes this is a nice replacement for the original foot, like the arca Swiss foot and QD option, but the knob to tighten it is so hard to use. When I swap it from other lenes I almost have to get pliers out to turn it and that’s only from hand tightening it so it doesn’t shimmy around on the connection to the lens.

Great feature for a Nikon Z 100-400 telephotolens, to get a dedicated Arca Swiss plate for using a tripod. Feels solid and save.
