I've developed neuropathy and taking a shower, standing barefoot on a hard surface aggravates this. Showering has become such a painful experience. So, I was looking for something to help. This is perfect!!!!! No more painful feet!!!! Added bonus you can exfoliate your feet at the same time! Easy to rinse out after each use. Says to hang up after each shower but I wished it came with some sort of sticky hooks you could put up on your shower wall to hang it from. I've managed to get it to hang from my washcloth holder.

The surface is like a loofah, it allows water to drain through. The mat stays stationary, it doesn't shift. After our shower we hang the mat on the rail of the shower wall to dry. I usually replace it every 6 months or so

Update. I needed to remove the shower mat and replace with something smoother. I couldn’t figure out why the bottom of my feet kept getting rough and uncomfortable even though I use foot cream. This was the cause - it is like a buffering pad on the bottom of my feet and no I am not moving around that much in the shower! It is rough on the bottom of the feet.My original review:I wanted something without suction cups. Even hanging to dry does not I completely clear out leftover soap/dirt/mold from getting under the suction cup lips. This one is easy to step on, not slip, and no hidden area to develop mold and easily cleaned in my front loading washer.

Bought for a shower of an elderly couple. They are much more relaxed getting in and out.

This is a great shower mat. It stays in place. It is also very easy to just rinse off and then place over the shower hand rail for drying.
