Is a heat gun still a heat gun when it's not shaped like a gun? The device has only one control a 3 way switch that sets it to low, off or high. Low and high refer both to the temperature as well as the amount of air that gets pushed out. On low this gun pushes more air than any heat gun I've ever used. and high of course even more. For anything I've ever used a heat gun for the air wouldn't be good or bad but want to mention it in case your situation is different. Similar to what you'd see on many glue guns, it uses a fold down metal stand when it's hot. What I did not care for with this heat gun is the noise. Not surprising because when pushing air almost as strong as a hair dryer, it's also going to sound like a hair dryer. I asked about the shape earlier - and I think the buyer for this device will be drawn in by the shape. Smaller than a traditional gun shape, easier to maneuver and you could get it into a smaller space / between closer spaced items.

I have owned many heat guns in my life. This is the first heat gun that has a silicone, protective end for it and I’m giving it 5 stars for that and a couple of other things too! As far as the silicone protector for the tip, I didn;t read the directions and thought that it was something that I would put on after using. I was wrong. You place the silicone sleeve on before you get started and you Leave It On. This is absolutely Fabulous because in the past, my heat gun has fell to the ground on several occasions and the high heat was not good for my body, or objects around it that instantly melted to the hot tip of it!So, if you have not used one of these before, trust me, this silicone end is the best! The thing is that when we are crafting, we accidentally bump into things so my old heat guns have so much debris melted onto the tips. With this silicone tip, you simply peel anything off that contacts it. It’s that easy.At 9.8”, it’s relatively small and light weight compared to others. It comes with 2 other tips that are so fun to get water and other effects!🤩So, now the cons:If you’re looking for something for de bubbling, I strongly suggest a butane torch over a heat gun. That is what I use and the experts suggest. I did try my other larger heat gun for the purpose of de bubbling. I found that my larger heat gun was better at releasing bubbles interestingly enough. So your purpose is everything when considering what will work best for you.In all honesty, I hope that you can get this heat gun as well as a butane torch, and a debubbler with a pressure chamber. Because the thing is that this heat gun allows you to have more fun with your art. And it’s important to have joy in life.

Purchased to shrink the wire connectors with built in solder, but doesn't work well for that. Doesn't get hot enough to melt the solder and seems to take a while to heat up. Product has 3 settings: off, 1 and 2. I think settings 1 and 2 refer only to the fan speed since I didn't really notice heat difference.

This heat gun is useful for more than just curing resin although that is the primary reason I got it. There are two tips you can use. One is for heat shrink tubing. The other is a wide tip. You can also use it without them. There are two silicone cups to protect this heat gun from resin splatters. I find this to be a nice addition. This tool is way better than the huge hot air gun I have been using for resin to date. That one blows too hard and makes a mess more often than not. This one from Lets Resin is perfect.I use resin a lot for crafting but also to fill cracks and holes in live edge furniture I build in my wood shop. This is going to be a great help all around. I use the heat gun to make the resin flow better and sink into the gaps.

Works great. Definitely an upgrade from the one I had before. This one has two speed settings and some attachments as well. Easy to use and works well for its purpose.

I ordered this heat "gun" because I needed something smaller than what I currently have for a few projects where I required more precision. It has a high and low setting and comes with a few attachments for various uses. Overall, it seems to work well. There is definitely more airflow created than with any other heat gun that I've used, which is odd, but perhaps it's due to its unique shape/design, which is not very "gun"-like.
