John's wife here, I make resin buttons for charity sewing. When I saw these resin flakes I was inspired to try making opal buttons. I made a base of epoxy resin with a bit of white pearl mica powder (looking to achieve a translucent effect). Then I used tweezers to add a bit from five or six of the eight jars to get a good variety of color. Gentle stir to mix without breaking up the flakes and pour while the resin is still very workable so the flakes sink to the face of the buttons.I am so pleased with the way these came out! Just like I envisioned - pictures do not capture the sparkle or how much these resemble actual opals. Just the spark of inspiration I needed! Jars were full, delivery was fast, and I would recommend this product to anyone looking to add a new and interesting twist to their resin work.

I buy these to mix with epoxy and eventually turning a bowl or something else. The colors are brilliant and when mixed with epoxy they are really nice

This is a different mica powder from Let's Resins line of colorant. Kind of a color shift but much more shiny and mirror- like.

There chameleon flakes are beautiful! Whether you want to back your project with black or white, they have stunning color. Chameleon flakes have static that wants to fly everywhere but that’s true for any other brand. They’re highly pigmented so a little goes a long way.

This is not as easily spread as the regular powder is. I was disappointed that it did not break up & go over the desired spots. It is difficult for me to get the regular powders in the spot I want but this was impossible for me. It may work better for others but I am not able to be as precise. The colors are nice but I could not get them as vibrant as the normal chameleon powders are. I did not try mixing in the resin as I got this to brush on the mold prior to pouring
