I bought this charger for less than $250 and installed it in my condo garage. Though I have only used it for two weeks, it works as well as the Chargepoint product I purchased six years ago for $700 for my home! It is very easy to use. Plug it in and push a button to select the maximum charging current, connect it to the car, and it starts charging. A display shows the input voltage and power and LED's confirm charging status. The cables are extra heavy duty. The tab on the vehicle connector is made from aluminum. On the Chargepoint charger, it was plastic and broke. Two year warranty. If it continues to work well, I am delighted! Some people have downgraded this product because it uses a dedicated network to access a web server, but I didn't see any need as it works fine without using the web interface.

Appears well made and heavy duty, there is also an app to work with it and control settings etc. Easy to use. I initially purchased this as a temporary solution before I install a charge station in my garage, this is going to become my permanent solution. Great value.

Just set up the charger yesterday, and put it to work last night. Put settings to 40amp, 240 volts.Successfully charged 93 miles in exactly 4.5 hours. this calculates to 20.67 miles per hour, which is a huge improvement over my Ford factory charger.I could not be happier, and would highly suggest anyone interested - to take a look at this charger. It provides all information needed on the front of the Unit screen. And contrary to some comments, the app is extremely easy to get set up. It just takes a tad bit of reading the manual.4/21/24 Update:Once in a while you run across something so amazing, you feel compelled to write an additional review. For those looking for a high quality charging unit, that allows you to adjust the Amperage output for your desired charge time, this charging unit is about the best quality you can find. And for the price, this item cannot be beat. The charging cable is extremely thick, providing comfort of not overheating things while charging, and pushing 40 amps is a simple task. I own two Ford Lightning EV trucks. At 40 amps I am replenishing 22.5 miles per hour. Regardless of how much you drive, with this unit, you can rest assure you’ll be back on the road the moment you awaken to a long distance drive. I cannot express how glad I am for finding this unit, and giving it a shot. This charger is more than amazing.

As a less expensive charger, works well for plug and charge. The controls did not work well - I did not get front panel to work, but I did not try very hard. Pushed the two buttons, no response, gave up. The "ap" is actually a web interface you access by wifi on your phone. No remote, does not access your wifi network. Timer seems to be in a different time zone - when I set it to charge on a 5 hour delay, the screen says 5 hours but the timer says 9 hours. It started charging later than I intended so it was not ready at 7 am. Also, the wifi grabs my phone whenever I am in range so I have to force my phone back to my house wifi. All that said, I would keep it if it met my needs. Quality seemed OK and it charged my car. Price is in the lower costs for this kind of charger. I do not think the history is recorded. I want more features so I will pay more.

So far so good! This seems to work exactly the way I need. I use it to charge our Kia EV9 and the only gripe, or more like a desire, I wish it would track the energy delivered to the car. Right now there is no way for me to keep track how much electricity I am using to keep the car charged. I am sure that some of the more expensive models do just that but I wish this one had the ability. I love how portable it can become and yet can easily be permanently attached to the wall if I wanted.I currently use a Y splitter from our Dryer 14-30 outlet and then use and 14-30 to 14-50 adapter to connect to this charger. Not the most beautiful setup but it works until we figure out exactly how we want to permanently install a dedicated 14-50 plug and we can use the full 40amps. As we are connected to the 14-30 plug, I have limited our charging to 24 amps which gives us around 5,500 kWh. It's not the fastest but WAY faster than our 120v charger.Cut to the chase: I would recommend this charger. The cord is thick and everything seems to be made of high quality plastics. Good job Sophtrans!

This charger works great so far for our Mustang Mach-E. It has multiple voltage settings plus options for timed charging in start, stop, and charging time. The only challenge is that you have to access a local wifi network generated by the device to change some of the settings. If you do not fix the settings and allow autocharge it will NOT charge as soon as its plugged in.Otherwise, this works great. I'll update once it's had time in the weather.

This level 2 charge cord works fine without using the app on your phone. I have it plugged into a 40 amp 240 outlet. I set the charge level at 24 amps just to be safe and it still charges plenty fast for my needs. The cord is massive and has very thick insulation. I only felt a slight warming on the connections to the plug connecting the charging port after 3 hours of charging.

Trouble free installation and high quality product. Works well to charge my Prius Prime, cutting the charge time from 11 to 4 hours maximum. My electrician installed a 50 amp circuit and a receptacle on the garage wall, and I set it to charge automatically once the plug is inserted into the car. I don't use the schedule program built in since my Prius does that itself. My only complaint (minor) is that the app can only be viewed on it's own wifi signal, not the internet. However, since the Toyota app is very useful, I don't really need to view the charger app directly very often. Highly recommended.
