This gaiwan is delicate, pretty, and functional. Perfect size too! It's my first gaiwan. I am happy to have it. It was easy to pour tea without letting leaves escape. Arrived quickly and well packaged. Thank you seller for excellent quality qaiwan at an affordable price!

This gaiwan is perfect. The ware is thin but not too delicate. The bowl is large a d holds almost a full cup of tea. The pattern is decent and I definitely would recommend.

I love this but I wished the top closed better, there’s a small gap on the lid which lets out the steam but other than that it’s super cute and functional . I will still order more though.

I’m so glad to have learned about gaiwans. They are truly practical and functional for brewing loose leaf teas. Just follow the brewing and pouring instructions and you are good to go. Cleaning these is a breeze. No more fine mesh tea filters for me.The 300ml is the perfect size for a single cup of tea. The white interior let’s you see the color of the liquid to gage when to stop steeping. Note that until you perfect your pouring technique, expect a few tea leaves to escape the gaiwanItem came well packaged and intact.

There are 2 things I've read that are a requirement for a gaiwan,...1. The lid has to have a good seal so when you hold onto it and pick up the cup to drain the liquid in the initial pouring you won't have a bunch of tea leaves in your cup. 2. The lid has to slide easily using 1 finger on the lid and your thumb and forefinger on the cup. That way you have control of the cup and you don't burn yourself touching hot parts of the gaiwan. This gaiwan is very pretty but the lid does not fit on the cup without a gap. You could assume it would be so you would have a place to pour out the water and leave the tea leaves behind but if you watch any video on how to use a gaiwan it will tell you that you have to physically move the lid to hold back the tea leaves.I did like that it was a rather large size gaiwan compared to others I've found. I guess in traditional gaiwans you will only find 75ml, 100ml, 150 ml and 150ml would be the largest serving two people. You have to remember the size of the cups you drink out of...they are very small...Very similar (but not in size) to the cups you get at the chinese restaurant with tea.I regret returning the gaiwan but after talking to a few people who use them often it is NOT supposed to have a natural opening when the lid is on...If you don't mind this slight flaw you should go ahead and order it since it's very reasonable compared to others I've found online.Since I've started drinking tea I love the ritual of using tweezers to take out the tea leaves and buds individually and weigh it out. Then pour water over the dried tea leaves to wet and soften them. Then wait a bit and pour in your water with the correct temperature. It's an almost ZEN feeling taking the steps to brew the tea. I appreciate the finished product a lot more than if I took a tea bag and dunked it in hot water, bobbed it up and down several times then threw it out....

I generally don't like to use the handle on a mug, and saw this cup. It does take some getting used to, not having something to rest on your finger, but it is a great way to make your coffee or tea rituals more enjoyable. My favorite barista, who happens to be my hubby, tends to enjoy serving our guests with this cup. Personal note, I wouldn't put the cup in the dishwasher. I found handwashing my favorite pieces tends to keep them looking new.

These teacups are high quality products. They are elegant. I like them very much. 2 of the 6 teacups were broken in the shipping. I contacted the customer service. They responded quickly and sent out another 2 sets of teacups. I received them today and I am very happy.

This gaiwan is well-suited for a wide range of teas, including full-bodied pu-erh and fragrant ti kuan yin oolong.

A bit miffed. I was looking for a large gaiwan that could happily fill a mug. Description says"300ml large capacity teacups.tea cups maximum capacity 350ml."This led me to believe I could brew 300ml of tea in this thing given its max capacity is 350ml. It's not and my mug didn't fill.I took a measuring jug and poured exactly 300ml into the gaiwan. This takes it right to the brim. So you'd actually brew far less than 300ml in this thing and the max capacity of 350ml should be removed from the description.
