Just upgraded from some homemade (not by myself) axles on the trailer project I bought years ago since those original ones went u-shaped, and so I decided to put proper slipper springs on since those came with the replacement axles I had bought used as replacements. Needed the shackles though, so I went with these. I wish they had included some paperwork on the proper spacing with different spring types, but after some extensive research online I was able to get that info. Good fit and finish and they work well lightly loaded. Haven't loaded them heavy yet but so far they work well. Will update if I have any issues once I run this setup through its paces. I'm sure I'll be dragging something home soon, so won't be long before I know.

I bought this for my 98 Cherokee because in the reviews someone else said they worked for an XJ. The spring plates I received were not the same ones in the picture, mine had extra bends in it. The plates won't fit the XJ leaf springs because they are too narrow, I should have measured. The U bolts are thicker and look better than original, however they are not threaded far enough to work and they are a little too long. I made the plates into strip-washers to beef up my old rusty spring plates and to take up more space on the U bolt, which allowed me to get the nuts tight enough for good holding power, around 70 ft-lbs. Be prepared to modify for Jeep installation. Overall looks like good quality hardware.
