I have a giant schnauzer with some behavioral issues. I have tried every puzzle out there and by far this is the FIRST puzzle that ACTUALLY works. I’ve tried many different sniffle mates but they just always ended up getting messy and was finding kibbles all over my floor after. Plus he got pretty bored and for him to be engaged I had to sit with him as he was using the sniffle mats which defeated the purpose of him entertaining himself while I could do my own thing (such as eating dinner without being disturbed lol). I’ll be honest, I was a little skeptical but was willing to try anything. I thought it would be something like the Kong (which also didn’t work too well for my dog and was even more messier than the sniffle mats). I was completely WRONG!First off, it is SUPER easy to use! I mean I can spread the wet food in less than 5 mins and it’s ready. Another cool thing, when I used the KONG, I had to make sure I freeze it overnight, with this I can spread the wet food on at 6:00 PM and by 8 PM it’s completely frozen! My recommendation is to spread it in the middle bc I noticed when I spread it all the way to the corners he usually ignores that area.SO EASY to clean! But try to clean it right after your dog is finished so that it doesn’t dry up in the crevices. When he’s done I simply rinse it off in the sink and it removes any left over food. The one and only downfall, is that it only last for about 15 mins but that could be just bc I have a large dog so I do hope in the future they come out with larger sizes. Even 15 mins of distraction helps me eat half my dinner in peace lol. Freezing it will definitely help make it last longer, I feel like for a small dog it would probably last even longer. I also included a photo, my dog is a little bit of a chewer and he did chew off a few pieces of the rubber but it did not ruin the product whatsoever bc the spread still goes over it perfectly fine.Overall 5 STARS!!!!! If the owner of the product is reading this review, please consider making larger mats :)

This is the third licky pad i bought. This is the only one my pupoy did not destroy. The licky pad is a great concept but if its not made iof tough plastic, the dog will chew it and destroy it. Keeps my puppy busy for an hour.

I feed my four cats wet food, but if I put it out in bowls the fast eaters gobble it all up before the slow eaters are done. And it's too much hassle to feed them all in separate rooms! (And sometimes the fast eaters just barf it up after.)After much trial and error, I finally settled on these mats. Puzzle feeders are basically for dry kibble. The ceramic slow feeders also don't work very well for wet food and are annoying to fill and clean. The soft silicone lick mats are OK, but three of my four cats tend to gnaw them and flop them around, even the ones with suction cups.Anyway, these tougher "tuff" feeders hold up pretty well, stay put, and turn my cats into contentedly grazing cows, not poaching eat-and-run gobblers. I use the "playmate" models, which have fairly large cells that aren't too frustrating, load them with one swipe of a large flat spatula, and rinse them out -- the mats, not the cats -- with the sink sprayer. The downside is that I've reconciled myself to replacing them -- again, the mats, not the cats, although I reserve my options -- after my gnaw-babies wear them out and before they start ingesting bits of (non-toxic) rubber.Update: I'm still using these for my cats, to draw out mealtime and keep them from poaching each other's dinner. I'm reconciled to having to monitor meals, to keep my clowder licking, not gnawing -- it's easy to hear the difference! -- and remove the mats before the cats start in on the rubber. The mats do wear out, however, and I do wish these were less expensive. Probably worth it, though: the cheaper mats just don't hold up.

After I had my dog use the first one I bought for a while, I bought two more because I am impressed with these things. I cover the lickimat with organic canned pumpkin and applesauce, then freeze it. I give them to him when I need to distract my dog from me putting allergy medication on his paws. Works great! I do suggest watching your dog, at least during the first few uses. When I first gave it to him, my AmStaff picked it up and moved it to his bed; he likes to be comfortable when he eats (haha) but I don’t like smashed pumpkin in his bed, so I moved it back. He didn’t leave any marks despite grabbing it in his mouth and whacking it around when he brought it to his bed before I grabbed it. My dog is sort of a weirdo and likes to scrape his bottom teeth along frozen food. One of the things impressing me about these is that he hasn’t ripped off any of the little nubs when grinding away with his teeth. The pumpkin and applesauce rinse off easily, even if it sits for a bit, and it’s nice that I can toss them in the dishwasher. I am a fan!

We have a retired therapy dog with arthritis, and as part of his rehabilitation, he does physical therapy three times a day. My wife had bought the original LickiMats several years ago when we had puppies, but they didn’t hold up well over time. I decided to try the heavy-duty version, and it’s been a great improvement. The durability is much better, and they’re able to handle regular use without showing wear.We love the versatility—being able to use different types of food is a big plus. Our favorite is mixing peanut butter and yogurt, then freezing the mat overnight. This keeps our dog engaged for his 30-minute PT sessions, especially when only one of us is available to help. These mats have really made a difference in keeping him focused and happy during therapy. Highly recommended for anyone in a similar situation!

i have purchased multiple of these in different patterns. 2 of 3 have had to be thrown away because they develop this awful smelling greasy film. I clean them after each use, hand wash or dishwasher, and after about 9 months they develop an awful smelling yellow grease. it won’t come off no matter what. disappointed and a waste of money

I bought one of these along with the less complex square one. This one in particular was bought for my fast eater and instantly wonder why I haven't done this before. I've tried the standard complex bowl type to slow her down but she still managed to scoff her daily serve down in half the time of her bigger sibling. Serving her diet of raw meal on this has halved her pace and she really seems to enjoy the complexity. I am impressed. Buy these, even if they're just for treats. I can honestly recommend them.

Spread Doggie Peanut Butter on LickiMat which kept my puppy Teddy amused for a good while. Enabled me to crack on with chores without having to have eyes in the back of my head.

J'ai une chienne de 20 semaines et elle arrive à tout détruire mais elle se comporte bien avec son Lickmat - utile pour des chiens qui mangent trop vite ou pour un petit cadeau pour le toutou

Really good idea. Slows down the dog's ability to eat too fast. And I hope it is working to help clean the build up of tartar on their teeth.
