I was looking to replace our original piano bench. This was a very nice replacement. Not only is the padding much nicer than our original, but It is also adjustable. Now my Grandaughter will be able to adjust it to fit her when she comes over to practice.

I'm writing this unsolicited review because of how pleasantly surprised I am with every aspect of this piano bench. The cushioned seat top is as, or more comfortable as the mega-expensive ones I've used with Steinway and Baldwin concert grands. The black gloss finish, and the leg-shape mirrors the look of my grand piano. I was surprised how roomy the 'hidden' music storage was; many of the mega-expensive benches have no storage at all! I am just very happy and excited about the quality of this bench, especially considering the reasonable price.

Very sturdy and good looking I am 5.7 a little too tall when it is all the way at the bottom.

It's a shame that I can't review this bench higher because it really is a beautiful bench!Storage compartment is nice, but this bench is too heavy for the small single hinge it includes. The hinge broke within the first 3 opens and closes...Bench pleather is very nice and the glossy finish on the wood commands attention. The bench adjuster works great even with my end sitting on it. If the hinge was equally as nice this would be a 5-star bench, instead I may be sending it back.
