As cool decorative guitar items go, this guitar-shaped light is quite nice. It's a nice, white, Stratocaster-style motive that sits on a wooden base. The guitar shape itself doesn't light up. The LED is inside the wooden base and basically illuminates the opaque guitar shaped decor from below. The guitar shape somewhat transmits the lights through it, but it mostly really just gets shined from below. So as a desktop decorative item, I do like it very much.HOWEVER, the intended purpose is to function as a pick holder. In that aspect, it does not do very well at all. Yes, it has slots cut into it to hold picks. But the slots don't really hold the picks very well. The picks keep falling out and any time you even touch the light or the table, the picks tend to fall out. Perhaps I'm using too thick a pick? (I use 1.0mm picks.) Perhaps thinner picks would work better? Regardless, the "pick holding" aspect did not work for me.I do enjoy the light, though. It is a new fixture to my guitar room that I enjoy. But I still have my picks in old cups or other re-appropriated items.5 stars for decorative coolness. 1 star for pick holding ability. 3 stars overall, plus one bonus star just because 3 stars seems too harsh. So, 4 stars total by my math.Enjoy!

This pick holder is revolutionary. Not only is it cute and lights up to create a very unique style and mood, but it helps guitarists keep track of their picks. Which can be a job in itself. They fit well, and look minimal. The light works well, and has a nice ambiance without being too bright. Given it's more of a decor item rather than a light, I appreciate the tone of the lighting. Spices up any space it sits in, and has a unique and incredibly useful purpose. Simple design and has 0 assemblies needed. Comes ready to go out of the box. Great for the musician in your life, easily giftable. Great value! You won't be disappointed.

It's kind of a neat idea and has its place in your practice room or even as part of your room decor if you leave your instruments out. The picks holds just fine but it's almost a two hand affair getting the picks in there. Not tough, mind you, but if you're playing a show and want to quickly stick a pick in there or pluck one out, this doesn't really have the weight to keep from moving while you do so.It doesn't look or feel particularly expensive but it's not awful, either. It's just a fun tchotchke to have around so you know were at least a few of your pick are (because you know the rest of them immediately disappear soon as you take them out of their packaging). Its being lit from the bottom up is a nice feature, too.So, yes, recommended for the fun factor but probably not out at a gig.

Nice wood base, easy to assemble, the light shining through the plexiglass looks cool! Holds the picks well. Definitely a gift for the guitar player in your life or for your own use. Good value!
