Bought this for the grandkids. They love it. The lights are a cool addition to the basic concept.I had built my son a hanging bed when he was younger. In our case I still had something to attach this to so installation was ultra simple. My guess is the 100# weight restriction is based on their supplied bolts anchoring to your existing ceiling framing. The construction of the canvas swing appears durable. The led’s are unpredictable, so time will tell. Until they fail my grandkids have a blast swinging, sitting, relaxing, spinning, and playing with the remotes. Lights in the seat are barely visible but they have fun anyway. Suggestions: I will probably add a swivel of some sort. Spinning puts torque on the straps and it makes me nervous. It also restricts the spin significantly. A 1” swivel would eliminate this issue and they can spin all they want.

My six year old granddaughter absolutely loves to curl up with a book in her hanging cocoon. Her four year old brother still finds it a little challenging to climb in to, but he's getting better at it every day. We got them the C-type hammock stands so they can move them around--in their rooms, out on the deck, where ever they feel like hanging out.
