I bought a second set of these scissors because I was so pleased with the first set after I had them sharpened. I bought this set again so when one set goes for sharpening, I have another set To still work. I groom for a living and Buy several lilys pet scissors because they are value for money and do a great job. HOWEVER this time I was dissapointed, the straight edged scissors were very stiff and needed to be seen by my scissor guy immediately to work, and I was given a 7'' pair of thinning scissors in this set when I last received an 8'' in the first set. Cleary there was a mistake. They kindly offered a full refund and allowed me to keep the scissors. Great customer service from them but still annoyed I lost a good pair of 8inchers.

Great set of shears! All were sharp and ready for grooming! Has stayed sharp and I use them daily being a dog groomer! I also have bought the 7in blue shear set by Lily's pet and I haven't been disappointed by this brand yet!

I have been a professional groomer for 6 years, and in that time I have only used short shears. I bought some backups of this same brand and loved them, so I decided to try the longs before dropping $300 on a good pair. They were dull and folded hair immediately out of the package, but for $30 I should have expected that. I had them sharpened and they dulled after a few haircuts. Overall I'm not happy, but I can see that these would be good for someone trying to trim their pet at home. I would just be careful buying these, since they are long they can be a bit more dangerous if you're not trained. I prefer shorter shears and feel like I have more control.
