My poor husband is always freezing to death. In order to keep him comfortable, we piled five (5), yes five layers of covers on his side of the bed. Well, he was finally warm enough but with all that bedding on him, he could not move. On my side of the bed, I was awash with perspiration and ended up throwing my covers onto his side, imprisoning him even more. My dear friend Ruth recommended this duvet. Well, nothing venture, nothing gained.I ordered it, remade the bed and VIOLA', he was warm and comfortable and can move easily. I don't feel like I am cooking and if I do get too hot, I can ease it off me without squashing him. At last, a solution. Thank you Ruth and thank you Lilysilk.

Finally, a comforter that doesn't cause me to sleep hot. Ideal weight for Florida. I spent big bucks last year on an "non allergy" down comforter and within a week, my allergies were out of control. After lots of reading about silk, I chose this one specifically because of the box stitching which prevents the fill from bunching. Works great. The cotton cover on this is so wonderfully silky smooth, I almost hate to put it into a duvet cover. In our hot Florida summers, I add a portable A/C unit in my bedroom to augment the house A/C = this comforter may become year-round. BTW, I was able to grab this as a "like new" from Amazon Warehouse for an outstanding price. I don't find this small at all. Hangs down both sides of a queen mattress well onto the frame. Love it and totally recommend.

This silk comforter was to replace an old one that my husband and I had purchased in China. We were happy to find that our new comforter is of better quality and workmanship. It is lightweight and yet warm when warmth is what we need and somehow just right when the weather changes to hot. Most importantly, our old comforter was made so that it could not be washed while the new one can be laundered. And....we didn’t have to go to China for it!!!

My "year-round" duvet has always felt too hot in the summer months, so, after experiencing a wonderful silk filled duvet on a recent cruise, I decided to purchase a summer-weight duvet for home. I compared the Amazon reviews on three similar silk duvets, and chose the Lilysilk because it came with a free pillow. I absolutely love the lighter weight duvet; the look and feel are everything I had hoped for, and I am thinking about purchasing another one for the guest bedroom. However, sadly, the advertised free pillow did not arrive. (I notice that the free pillow is not longer offered, on this site; but, it was, when I ordered the item.) Hopefully, the seller will stand by their offer, when I contact them.

First, what a pleasant surprise to receive an order in December, when it was slated to arrive in the new year. Kudos for quick shipping. Second, when we took it out of the vacuum-packing, there was only the usually expected 'retail' smell to it, nothing unpleasant or chemical (I had worried about this a bit, having had it happen to us before). And finally, this comforter is just exactly the weight we wanted for our bed, not too heavy but warm and comfortable for us both all night. I actually look forward to using this year-round. Thank you, Lily Silk - I will recommend you to anyone who asks me about silk comforters.

UPDATE: received my second insert. This time I sent back the queen and I ordered a king which fits my queen bed exactly as it should. However, this one has weird stuff on it and I’m contemplating sending it back or not because this would be my third attempt! Look at the pictures there’s these weird areas of the comforter that are all crinkled up and actually kind of stiff and hard. You can see one picture where it’s smooth like it’s supposed to be and then there’s a sections where it’s crunchy and hard. I have no idea what is going on here. We washed it and it was still like that. We are tired of sending this back-and-forth. I saw other reviews where the duvet insert had that same bunched up crunchy hard sections on it. Somethings weird here by the way, the queen did not have that on it.I like the comforter but for $220 I would’ve hope that it would’ve fit my queen bed! Really disappointed at how short it is on a queen bed I have about 3 to 4 inches on each side that it drops that’s it. I have to pull it way away from the pillows so that it looks like the comforter hangs on the end of the bed. This is not a queen size comforter. Really disappointed Contemplating sending it back for a king

Live in the south. Lightweight is a must. Very comfortable year round. I bought a queen size exactly like this and have been using it full time for several years. Still in great shape. In the interest of simplifying the look I wanted to use this as my comforter. So I purchased the king to get enough side drop, the queen was just big enough for staying warm.

I got the summer weight and it's been a warm winter so no need for anything more as yet. I cool the house down to 65F at night and find this comforter comfortable, and I am not comfortable with the house being any cooler, but even when the power went out I stayed in bed all day until the power came back on and I was warm enough.
