I normally wear a 10.5 US Men, and sometimes an 11 in a running shoe. I got these in a 10.5 and they were just a tiny bit snug on my toes. Not enough to leave me hurting or blistered after about an hour of rehearsing a light routine, but enough that I noticed. I did have medium thick cotton socks on, though.Initially it felt like there was a bit of outward roll on the right sole, but after dancing in them for 10 or 20 minutes that impression went away. Not sure if it needed a bit of breaking in or whether it was all in my head (and foot). The fuzzy bottom makes it easy to spin on hardwood in my house, perhaps a bit too easy. On slightly tackier varnished hardwood dance floors it's probably not so bad, but it took me a little while to get used to how slippery these could be. Definitely better suited to ballroom style than something with more lateral movement and momentum.Build quality and lacing seems very good for the first few hours I've used the shoes. Polish is great. Upper is comfortable and doesn't rub the ankle bones (my personal peeve about dress shoes).

They look way different in real life.If you dance more than 20 minutes wearing them, be ready for a painful time.

I know these are listed as “Dance Shoes†but I was hoping to use these with a tux that I have to wear at an upcoming event. I ordered size 12 as that is my shoe size when I wear thick crew socks. These shoes, however, seem much smaller than that. They are tight and not comfortable all across the top of my toes and feet. The construction of these shoes looks fine. I do not see any major flaws in how the shoes were made. These look good. They have a patent leather look, even though they are really faux leather. Unfortunately, these would hurt my feet to wear for any length of time.

This review is for the black matte breathable ballroom dance shoes with a 1†heel.Having a background in competitive dancing and teaching, I wanted to share my thoughts on these shoes. This is my second pair from this brand, and like my previous pair, the quality is impressive given the price. The shoes feature a proper 3/4 shank, which is essential for ballroom dancing, and they have a full sueded sole. These do not have leather uppers but they do have the standard “pinprick†vent holes to keep your feet a little cooler and drier. These shoes fit true to your regular street shoe size. Competitive dancers who prefer a snug fit might already size down for practice shoes, but for most people, sticking to your normal size should work well. The shoes have just the right amount of cushioning, making them comfortable while still allowing you to feel the floor and execute proper footwork. I would classify these as practice or social dancing shoes for ballroom rather than specialized Latin dance or competition shoes. Men’s Latin shoes typically have a 1.5†Cuban heel and little to no shank, which helps with toe pointing and foot articulation. That being said, these shoes are perfect for a night out at a social dance where you’ll be doing a mix of ballroom, Latin, and swing dancing. They’re definitely versatile enough for that kind of event. However, if you’re taking classes or private lessons, you might want to reserve these shoes for ballroom dances like waltz, foxtrot, tango, and quickstep, and consider a pair of Latin shoes for dances like rumba, cha cha, and samba. At $29.99 at the time of this review, these shoes offer excellent value for the money. If they don’t hold up or have any issues, I’ll update this review accordingly.

I find these shoes to be excellent for their price. They fit properly, for the most part. The heel is a bit low, and dug into my heel just a bit. But, that was alleviated after wearing them awhile. They just needed to be worn in. The sole is perfect for your traditional ballroom dances. And it has good framing/shank for support. These are definitely Ballroom dance shoes. And that is how they should be listed. Because what they are not, is Latin dance shoes. Can they be used when dancing in a Latin format? Sure. But so can my motorcycle boots. It will just not look and feel right. Another reviewer actually gave a nice breakdown on the expectations of a Latin dance shoe, so I won't reiterate it here. Just know that these are not that. But what they are is really good for their price. I am glad I got them.
