This tool is PERFECT for removing window belt moldings on older vehicles but the shape of it does not allow it to work properly for any of the belt moldings on newer vehicles. DO NOT buy if you are needing it for a newer vehicle, a couple j hooked style picks will do the job.

Works perfectly… make sure your window is down, take your time, all will be good! If in doubt, check YouTube for a tutorial.

Purchased this to replace the four window trims on our honda. After watching a number of utube vids that used different techniques to remove the window trim I fully appreciated the simplicity and effectiveness of this tool. It was easy to slip in front of the window to reach the clips below with just the right bend to be able to pop the clips without breaking them. Even though I am a complete novice, I was able to remove all four window trims in about 10 minutes and only busted two clips. Also, because this tool works from the inside I ended up with zero scratches on the doors, frames or anything else. Would definitely recommend for the professional or other novices.

Was using this to try and remove some moldings from old pickups at the junk yard but it didn’t work out for me. I had a hard time getting it to hook under the moldings. I ended using this along with a long flat head screwdriver and worked the moldings out. Maybe it would work better on a different vehicle, but it wasn’t that great with mine. 1986 Nissan hardbody pickup.

Very sturdy and easy to adjust the claw opening to get at difficult belt moulding clips. It ships with a very tight opening. Handle lasts a few years, then starts to peel off right about the time you think you got your money's worth.
