We have a newfoundland puppy who is constantly wet-faced and rubbing his sloppy wet face on furniture. Well... it was our idea to use this item to let him rub his face on it. Spoiler alert: he does not like it. But the golden retriever puppy likes to chew on it. Ultimately, it was sort of a failed experiment as the puppy was able to pull out brush bristles. As far as its intended use (a cow) it might be perfect. But it's pretty lightweight and was almost immediately destroyed by the golden retriever, so I can't imagine that it holds up well long term under any sort of hard use situation.

This scratcher is just what my goats ordered! I had been using a push broom head nailed to the table leg, but they had worn that down. So, I gave this one a try! Glad I did! The bristles are pretty stiff, but the goats can rub on it as they wish-the big one rubs it down his whole body! It comes with hardware, but I had to replace the screws sent with long decking screws because the others stripped the heads out so badly. Your livestock will appreciate this scratcher a lot.
