I was impressed with the quality of this welded aluminum recovery tank. My 1964 Amphicar didn’t have one and we installed it to use as an overflow tank to keep coolant out of the bilge. The manufacturer included a nice variety of plugs and fittings to allow custom fitting to your vehicle. It was simple to install. I used some higher quality tubing to connect it to the radiator overflow line. It looks nice and functions well. No leaks so far.I rated it high due to its high quality construction, good variety of fittings packaged with it, and overall appearance.

Nicely made with beautiful welds. Unfortunately it's now the nicest looking thing under my truck's hood.Comes with the basic fittings needed, though you may need adapters depending on your application.

So my coolant tank came with all the fittings, the elbows and tube as well as the plugs were pre installed! The quality and welds look great for the cost, and its a great size around the same as my stock overflow tank, i cant install yet due to waiting on other parts but i did fill it to the top with water and its been sitting on my counter for weeks now leak free! The only issue i noticed is a slight dry spray near the cap easily fixable but would be nice if the coating was done just a bit better!

I ordered the 2L Tank which is well made seems to be a reliable and functional addition to my Jeep Wrangler project vehicle's cooling system. I will soon be installing this product, I am pleased with its universal compatibility. One of the standout features of this tank is its construction, constructed of a high-quality polished aluminum, which not only enhances the aesthetical appeal of the engine bay but also provides excellent heat dissapation. The tank has a sturdy build with good solid welds, this tank seems that it should stand up to the higher temperatures as well as resist corrosion and rust thus, ensuring it's longevity and reliability.I hope that the installation process on my Jeep Wrangler should be relatively straightforward and easy when I find the perfect spot for it being a universal fit, it can be easily mounted in various vehicle makes and models. The tank design allows an easy connection to the existing system. However, be aware that installation depending on your circumstances may require some minor modifications to be made.In terms of functionality, while the 1L capacity maybe adequate for most applications, I personally feel that it does not hurt to have an extra liter of coolant capacity, since this tank really is an overflow tank, which collecting excess coolant and prevents coolant loss under high pressure &or when during situations where the engine is experiencing above the usual temperatures. With a transparent sight tube allowing for an ease of visually monitoring coolant levels, for preventive cooling system maintenance.Including additional hardware which would allow the option for multiple mounting options. The current package for mountingconnection options lacks the basic choices of some necessary clamps and brackets With its solid build and universal fitment this tank is a practical choice for a wide range of vehicles. Minor modifications and added mounting hardware, should allow for easily integration into existing cooling systems. Thus allowing for easily visually managing of and upkeep of the coolant within the cooling system.I would recommend this overflow tank to as a good value for the cost to anyone, especially those of us who are enthusiastic about upgrading our cars performance and looks.

First off this is an overflow tank not an expansion tank. Primary difference is that an overflow tank is not pressurized and relies on temperature change to recover coolant. The pressure cap on the radiator itself does all the work not pressure in the tank. Nothing wrong with this but it has to match your car's configuration. For example if your car's radiator does not use a pressure cap this unit won't work, you need an expansion tank that supplies the pressurized cap for the entire system. Secondly, the illustration shows both the inlet and outlet connector installed at the top of the unit. This is entirely wrong and won't work if you connect it as shown. The inlet to the tank from the radiator must be at the bottom of the overflow tank, and the overflow outlet must be at the top of the tank. Overall it is well made and the TIG welding is surprisingly good. The aluminum polish is good and overall the unit will match the look of a performance radiator such as Champion. My only complaint is that the mounting flange arrived bent on one side. The shipping container was intact so the damage occurred before it was packaged. This suggests to me there is no QA on these products so I suggest you inspect your unit for defects before putting into service. For the price however its a good deal. If you want better quality, Summit Racing has good options but they start at 3X the price.
