I like that the 'paste' can be put on in any amount relative to the fly size. Have to be careful to wet and massage around the leader or it falls off. The wool puffs make slightly more sense but these are so facile that I use more.

I’ve used for years but like yellow best. Will also help in small amounts with euro nymphing
