Wrapped them with vinyl coated 3/32 and it fit perfectly. Not sure why others say too small. I looked at many websites and this is the average length and width for this size 3/32.

These thimbles form strong loops in the ends of .105" string trimmer line (Gatorline) for use as suspension line for an amateur radio antenna strung between two trees at my home. They've been in the air, including harsh Wyoming winters, for 2 years and show no sign of corrosion. The .105 diameter line fits the channel of the thimble just fine, only a little slop. Double barrel crimps hold the string on the loop. Am replacing the dacron haul lines on my antenna with the trimmer line and these thimbles, because the trimmer line slides over tree branches easily. The thimble shape also lets the thimble sneak through branches as well, without hanging up on them.

These seem to be working out just fine. The product says it is for 3/32"-1/8" wire rope. These things are *tiny* - about 1/2" x 1" in size. I am using it with 1/8" 7x19 316 SS wire rope, and it fits the channels correctly, but the bend radius of the loop (about 1/4") is extremely tight. I would have thought you would damage / kink the wire rope if you bend it this tight. Turns out I was wrong.

Works for what I need, did not realize how small of a loop I'd need for these. Took some muscle but was able to make wire conform to it.
