I use these crimps for shark fishing rig (7-strand braided steel cable, 500lb... connecting 500lb mono line with large swivels rated to 800lb).Squeez'm tight and it'll keep you rig together when the big on comes along.

There is no reason not to get these, as long as you know the cable youre using it on is between 1/16 and 2/16. Otherwise youll either get less gripping power than you need, or the cable wont fit through the openings. I used this for stealth antenna wire with a 0.4 mm diameter and it was a little too big for the wire. To be fair, i had intended on it being used on some larger antenna wire, but changed my project idea.
