I bought some heavier farmhouse plates over a year ago and asked my husband to mount them on the wall. After a whole year I bought these and had them up in less then 5 minutes. They are sturdy, inconspicuous , and so easy to work with. I am considering doing a plate themed gallery wall and will use these again without hesitation.

The price was good, but most importantly, they really work. More than strong enough for any plate many times over. One little tip. Having lived in earthquake prone southern California I suggest an additional safeguard where earthquakes are a possibility. Take a wire tie like what you find to close loaves of bread and wrap one end around the nail before putting it into the wall. Then wrap the other end around the plate holder. That way if the plate bounces up off the hook during an earthquake the wire tie will stop the plate from dropping to the floor. It can also protect a plate from the floor if the plate is mounted low enough where somebody could brush into it and knock it off the hook.

I used these to mount some chinese porcelain platesand they are quite nice. The hardware is hard to see unless you are looking for it and it won't damage your plates. One small issue is that the mounting part is too close to the back of the plate to hang with some plates so you may have to bend it back about 1/4 of an inch to get it to hang.

I liked the fact that the size & fit is such that the plate hangs securely and the hook doesn’t show. The plastic protectors are in a separate bag and must be mounted on the hooks, so be careful not to discard.

They work but they don't grip the plate very well. They are flimsy.

These plate holders are great. I’ve had one fall, but I adjusted how it was in the plate and it has gone well from there.
