We've had mail "baskets" before but often the mail was brought in and set down wherever is closest to the door that my husband came in with it. For some reason, it rarely made it into the basket and I would have to look all over for it. Not any more. I have this hanging right on my refrigerator door and with some reminders, the mail is always put where it goes. I love the fact that I can simply slide the holder up and off of the refrigerator and bring it to my desk to sort through. It's well made and looks great. This has been the perfection solution for misplaced mail in our house.

I love that they don't stick out so far on the side of my desk. They have a modern look to them.

Wanted to keep some papers out of the way. Wish it could be a bit taller. Loose Documents are tilting forward. Sturdy file folders with documents and packaging multiple folders a bit tighter may help.

Can't miss emergency instructions in this magnetized file pocket on the fridge. Put aspirin in a red case in there too. Handy item.

We placed the file holder on our front door. I was worried that the magnet would not be strong enough but it hasn't moved an inch with the heavy door closing. I am not worried about the file holder falling off the door or breaking.

Either I should have read slower or the little details shoulda been clearer. Anyway, the magnetic file holder is the right size length wize (up to legal size stuff). But, tall-wize... it's a bit short.Single sheets of paper tend to lean over the side, but if they're in a folder it's OK. That said, it is a well made product and is a neat concept.It mounts in 3 different ways. As shown in my photo it has a plate that slides on and off, and that plate is what you mount. You have the option of using the provided screws or using the included plate with a big 'ol slab of double sided tape. Lastly you can opt for using the plate with a magnetic backing.Note: if using the magnet, it works best if attached to a flat piece of ferromagnetic metal. The more surface not making contact the sooner you'll find your stuff on the ground. So I mean super flat metal.It's a good product for household use but I think it'd be a headache for moderate to heavy office use.
