Carbon with coconut husks, hands down the best combination to filter your distilled water. Carbon works better then the activated charcoal.

I can tell the difference with these filters because the water has a slight taste and smell. I just changed the filter and cleaned the purifier.I will not keep using them. I will actually buy new filters. Too bad because there are so many in a box. I will definitely not buy these again.

They are just the right size to fold and fit into the nozzle of my water distiller. Like all carbon filters it is best to rinse them before use with clean water to since there is usually some carbon dust. Work just fine.

They are very messy and not easy to get into my Megahome distiller.At first they seemed ok, but after a couple uses I noticed my water tasted terrible.I'm still not sure if it's these filters' fault, although I did try the filters that came with my distiller again and the taste improved.Even if these aren't the cause of the bad taste (which I'm still actively troubleshooting), I don't recommend these for the mega home distiller.Not that any of them are THAT different.I'd say steer away from coconut ash. It's not fine enough to do the job correctly. It lets water seap around the sides of it and not actually go through it.

Poorly packaged and box ripped, contents of sachets leaking out of box and box covered in charcoal dust. Sachets not fit for use in my water distiller when it was stated they were compatible for my type of distiller?

I did write a review. Returned item as the charcoal dust was continually coming out of the filter bags.
