I purchased an antique wooden flute, and it came with the original (metal) cleaning rod. I wanted something that wouldn't risk scratching the inside, and chose this budget-friendly wooden cleaning rod. It's sturdy, the cloth fits into it easily, and it passes through the instrument gently without banging around.

Varnish is uneven and there were some burrs I had to sand off inside the eye, so this is definitely the budget model. I will still use it since it will always be covered by the cloth anyway, but could probably do better for the money. I would probably go for a plastic one over this.

Splinters and rough. Loop at end had glue in it and splinter. Snagged my new silk cleaning cloth. Shoddy workmanship and shouldn’t be sold!

I had to return it because it was too large for my Native American Flute. Otherwise it looks good.
