Everything you need in one box to fit an autopilot to your outboard motor, the Outboard Pilot lets you focus on fishing activity while keeping the boat on course. When connected to a Lowrance HDS Gen2 or Gen2 Touch, the Outboard Pilot can steer to a waypoint or along a route, select a turn pattern or simply hold a constant heading. The Lowrance SmartSteer user interface allows you to easily switch between electric-steer, trolling-motor control and outboard motor control directly from your HDS display. And, with your HDS display, you can easily convert trails to routes so you can retrace a previous track and get your boat back to the dock from your fishing area. New Lowrance SmartSteer interface provides control of either your cable-steer or hydraulic outboard motor, as well as the Motor Guide Xi5 Pinpoint electric-steer trolling motor. The Lowrance Outboard Pilot is recommended for single outboard set-ups, on boats that are 30 feet and less, in length.

This was a hard install. I had to replace the steering cable from my helm to the outdrive.My boat had a a rack and pinion that needed converted to rotary cable.The electronics all married up with no fuss. Highly recommended!If you have the Lowrance wifi module and a tablet you can control this from anywhere on your boat!I am using a HDS-7 Gen2 touch as the brains.I can now press a button and maintain course, or set trolling patterns!!!

I bought this for my 25ft outboard shrimp boat, I also purchased a Lowrance gen touch 2 to go with it. Let me tell you how wonderful this auto pilot is, it was so easy to install and it does some awesome maneuvers with only a few touches. My husband it amazed at how well it's working and he says it drives straighter than a hydraulic pilot. This is going on all my future boats!

I love my lowrance outboard pilot . Works great. Install wasn’t bad except lowrance sent me bad parts to begin with. Dealing with lowrance customer service was a nightmare but once i got through that couldn’t be happier .

Installed it on my 18’ salmon boat. Hooked it up to a HDS 8 non-touch screen. Works great right out of the box
