My daughter wears a size 10 and they're at her ankle. She likes them like that so I haven't gone up to a 12 yet. She also wears size 10 in Gap jeans for reference. The waist on Lucky jeans seems smaller than Gap so they fit her well. We don't have to adjust the waist to make it smaller like we do with Gap jeans. The fabric is soft, not stiff or thick like some of her Gap jeans. These are a nice change. Definitely recommend!

This denim feels very thin. We were expecting jean/denim material, but these seem more like jegging material. For the size we purchased, 14, we expected the waist to be a bit larger, even with the adjustable button cinching capability. I would not purchase these again—they are fine but tight in all the wrong places. We'll look for a different brand next time with a slightly more loose style.
