The waist runs a bit large, and does not have the darts inside to tighten up the waist. Will need a belt. the quality feels good, the denim isn't light weight and can definitly take rough-house playing or outside play. So far the grass stains wash out great and the knees are not giving way.

My daughter is curvy in lovely ways -- and we totally dont do the skin hugging skinny jeans thing. She's still only 8, but full bodied, tall and active, so having stylish pants/jeans that still utilize elastic in the waist is vital. Such pieces are increasingly hard to find -- in terms of being long/large enough to fit her.So, we find these a total win -- given that they fit nicely, look snazzy, and neither require a belt of any kind, nor are butt smashingly tight ... is rare for jeans. Very happy to have happened onto these and while sizing is essential for kids of this age, I would suggest trying these out if you daughter might have similar needs.

Nice pair of jeans. I've found that girls -- at least my granddaughters -- can be a little picky about jeans. They tend to prefer leggings that are soft, comfortable, and flexible. These jeans have all those traits: soft, comfortable, and flexible. But obviously a little less so than most leggings. They're not made of denim, according to the product description page. Mainly Polyester, with some Spandex.Nevertheless, they're cute. And they're well liked. The waistband is elastic. The quality seems to be high.
