HOW TO CLEAN?
Add some citric acid or vinegar and let the horseshoe soak. citric acid is part of the canning process and makes for a great soak to remove rust from the horseshoe. it can be also cleaned with a wire brush if it gets rusted. It is not the flimsy type.

I ordered this expecting a nice but used horse shoe. I expected what I saw in the picture and I was completely disappointed! I ordered two of them and when I received them, they were small and completely falling apart right before my eyes. I was going to hang them up in my garage for good luck, but I have a feeling that if I tried to nail them up, they would disintegrate. The edges of the shoes were jagged and the packaging and horse shoes were covered in rust! I was so, so disappointed and I would honestly never order this product again.
