I ordered these to help maximize space atop a small two-tier shelf that holds my imminent TBR (to be read) picks and LPs/records. I appreciate how lightweight and unobtrusive the bookends are while still supporting my books. I would order these again.

These bookends are being used on two new shelves. They work without a problem. If I'm not mistaken, someone posted a negative review with a video showing the bookends collapsing and books spilling off the shelves. Did this critic not notice the hole in the base. My bookends are screwed into the shelves. They are going nowhere. What if you don't have enough books to fill the shelves? Of course, buy more books!

These are a book bookend for a slim-fitting area--not decorative, but ideal for a shelf where you might need to separate a section or otherwise have a bit of a narrow fit. Works well to keep my heavier hardcovers in line on an open-sided built-in bookcase!

If you are hoping these will hold books upright, the answer is no. They’re cheaply and quickly made without any attention to detail because they are not bent enough to reach a 90 degree angle and therefore they don’t even stand on their own. I had to try and bend these myself and it sort of worked. But hey - they were a bargain!

These bookends are nothing fancy, but if you are looking for something unobtrusive that doesn't take any space, they are perfect. The base is not heavy, but very stable, even before you put the books on it, so there is no chance of them tipping over. The pads on the bottom make them even more secure and prevent them from slipping if there is nothing on the other side of them.Most of all, I like that they are tall, carrying the entire height of even the taller hardcovers I have. I've had others that were shorter, and even though they had a very stable base, the heavier books would just tip over the top of them. But these are tall enough to hold the books securely.And they are pretty much completely invisible, so all your attention will be focused on your books, not on the stands. But if you want to spruce them up, the surface is perfect for stickers!

If you're like me and want that freestanding book aesthetic (where it looks like the books are standing on their own), these ones might be a good option. It has a very low profile and a solid white/black design, which helps it blend in with its background. The pads on the boom prevent it from scratching the surface beneath it, and it's metal so it's way sturdier that plastic bookends. I will say that the bookends arrived in a not-perfect-90° angle, but I assume it'll bend over time to that angle (or you can easily bend it yourself) when you place heavier books on them. A solid win for aesthetic!

I like the rubber feet on the base of each bookend. They do provide some resistance to movement but do slip a bit if there is too much pressure from books that are not upright. Each one has a hole that can be used to screw the bookend into a shelf, This is a handy idea, especially if the shelf is open and needs the bookends to provide solid 'walls'. They are a good height that helps keep large binders upright. They are painted a glossy white and the metal is quite thin but strong.
