Your cart is empty.The lure retriever is made from lead. The retriever has been designed with two key lure retrieving ideas in mind. The first principal is that of weight. The weight of the lure retriever, results in a 99% snag rate. In case this fails to work, a secondary principal has been implemented, that is the use of chain hanging from the base of lure retriever. If the lure is not freed from the snag by the weight of the device, then the chains will tangle themselves with the trebles on your lure and you can pull your lure free. This may result in a bent treble, but an intact lure with a bent treble is better than a 20-dollar lure at the bottom of a river or lake

The first trip out it paid for itself. Saved my Alabama rig from submerged brush and a few other lures and rigs through out the day. The string it comes with is heavy duty enough but I swapped it with 100ft of paracord just to make myself feel more secure. Used from a boat it’s very easy to release a snag vertically but I don’t think it would work for shore based fishing

I bought this to recover big Muskie lures while fishing timbers. The average cost of a Muskie lure I used was $35. I recovered 100% of my lures that snagged the lumber and stumps. I used it no less that 15 times. So I saved $525 yes worth every penny I’d say. Easy to use.

I have not had to use the retriever yet because I haven’t been snagged deep enough to try it. I did replace the line with parachute cord because the original line would break if the retriever was trying to bend a treble hook on a stuck lure. Then I would have lost both the lure and the retriever.

The retriever works very well, but I changed the line as I felt it was to small.

The line is very short and not very strong! In addition, the dog bone shaped spool/handle the line is attached to is useless!! It is too small to grip & pull to use the device to free a lure!!

It is way to light. My old Jewel Bait hound Dog worked way better.
