I used this to make my dishwasher more quiet. I simply shoved it under the dishwasher, all around the wash and discharge pumps. No need to worry about heat or electrical as this is a ceramic fibre material. It’s heavy and dense. I put the access panel back on and started a load of dishes. Voilà! Peace and quiet now. Kinda expensive but, worth it. There’s no real install directions. You just figure out your application. It’s not rocket science.

I shopped at 3 fireplace stores and several home improvement places and could only get this blanket as special order and quite expensive. This was just what I needed, reasonably priced and easily cut to fit. Will get it again when I need to replace it…….. in 10 years.
