I feel like athletic shorts can mean anything these days. There are too many variations in materials, quality, thickness, fit, etc. I ordered these hoping I could use them for lounging around the house and yard, and maybe even for running. I'm happy to report that these are much better quality than I expected, and easily worth the $28 they sell for currently. They're a little thicker and heavier than I'd want for running, but just right for around the house.The pockets are nice, the color is pleasant, and the material is very comfortable (some stretch, but not a lot).The only drawback for me was that these run smaller than I'd expected. I'm usually a large or XL in shorts like these, but the large I ordered felt more like a medium to me. If you're on the fence, consider sizing up one.

These shorts are super nice quality and very well made athletic shorts. The material is a bit on the heavier side for athletic shorts, but is well stitched and should last a long time. With a 7 inch inseam they are longer than a lot of shorts which works particularly well for guys with longer legs.There's a lot of pockets, with two back pockets (one snap close / one zipper close), plus two front pockets. The front pockets don't have a closure, but are decently deep so hopefully things won't drop out all the time. The navy is a really nice shade of navy that looks great when wearing.These are great quality shorts. If the length works for you, and you're ok with a slightly heavier weight fabric, these are great choice.

This is a nice pair of shorts that washes very well. It’s well made out of a material that should hold up well. I love the zipper pockets in the shorts. The shorts are lightweight and confortable.

I purchased the MAELREG - Men's Athletic Shorts for my husband to try in a size medium. He normally wears a medium and these were a good fit. The material is a little stretchy, so it makes them very comfortable to wear. It is the type of material that is great for working out in. They have side slit pockets and 2 back pockets (one has a zipper and the other has a snap). The waistband is a wide elastic with a drawstring. These are well packaged in a nice box that makes them suitable for gift giving. My hubby loves the shorts, so we are happy with our purchase.

I wanted just some yard/ round the house shorts and these looked perfect. The first impression was positive. The material felt nice and the stitching looked good as well. However when trying them on they we much tighter than I like. I thought about returning them but my brother liked them so they went home with him.Order a size or 2 up.

These shorts fit my husband well (he's very tall). The slate blue is also a very flattering color. He finds them comfortable and uses them to lounge and to go to the gym. They are thin material, but since they are quick-drying - they aren't necessarily light. They can get you a bit hot. I didn't read carefully enough what material this was made of - it's mostly polyester. This also gives a sheen that I am not terribly fond of (always makes the article of clothing look inexpensive).

These are a very well made pair of athletic shorts. The fit is to size and the color matches the listing. The material is soft and comfortable. There are 4 pockets. Two pockets at the hips and one zippered pocket and one snap pocket in the rear. A well made pair of shorts for the price.
