It worked perfect… I used it for my 335i to rethread spark plug cylinder , just make sure you get some sort of extension for the bits, but other than that 5 starts

I'm a technician by trade and very lucky about the timing i use. I got this kit cause i couldn't find anyone that har a 5.4 triton kit for the newer 12mm plugs. This is a really good tool for the price. I was expecting the drill bit to be dull and the tap to suck. I was surprised with how well it worked. This is definitely made for shallow spark plug hokes. But with a socket, extention, and some tape it worked fine. I was clear back under the cowling working. I was able to drive these with an electric ratchet. This is worth the money

I love the fact that it comes with everything you would need to repair stripped holes and still use the same size hole after it's repaired. Time-serts are a life saver and felt more comfortable install rather than using helicoils.I hate the fact that after drilling the hold for repairs, the drill bit snapped in half and got stuck in the hole. Used a flat head and a hammer to try and knock it out of the hole and one normal tap from the hammer and screw driver, the bit literally crumbled. Did not know it was THAT brittle. Lucky it was the last hole I need and installed the time sert and completed the repair.

Striped spark plug threads on Honda vtx1300. Make sure the angle is right while drilling. Kit fixed my threads and is working great still.

Woohoo….drill bits a drillin’, counterbores a borin, tap is tappin, thread insert tool was a tool-in’, insert is not insertin’…idk what happened but 2 out of 3 inserts were giving trouble. 1 was reusable the second was not. I hand tested ea. hole & insert but forgot to test ea. insert with corresponding hole. While installing an insert it became lodged/affixed to the tool. Nearly impossible to remove. So, I made my own insert tool to get the job done. It happened to my tool as well, meaning inserts were surely the issue. in the end, I was able to use 4 of 5 inserts.Better quality inserts would be a plus.Solid 3 star
