Anyone who has worked on old jet ski carbs knows corrosion sometimes causes headaches. Helicoil kits have saved me on more than one carb rebuild!

Worked great repairing threads on plastic and was every easy to use for a beginner. Only complaints I have is that it doesn't come with a tap handle and the paint on the punch flakes off very easily. In the pictures it looks like it has a black oxide coating but it is just paint.

All looked decent to install the small M3x0.5 inserts but mine came with a broken tap. It was torsionally sheared so it looked used and probably was a repackaged item back to me without quality inspection.

So far i've used it on plastic and metal parts with no issues. Super easy to use, and the threaded coils work great.
