I just used it on a broken off bolt in an aluminum exhaust manifold. Everything went perfectly. You might not be able to get your typical tap driver "T" handles on it depending on where you need to get it into, I was able to use a size 8mm open wrench to turn the tap and it was a breeze. I don't know if the drill bit will really hold up to installing all 25 helicoils, but that should be the only thing you might need to buy if you do wear through the bit. Be sure to get all of the bolt out of there before tapping, I had a bit of the hardened steel bolt still in the hole and it was throwing off the tap and eating more of the softer aluminum and not tapping correctly. Once I got all of the steel bolt out of there the threads went fine. I would not use anything but helicoils for rethreading and this was a great price.

Decent kit. Package comes shrink wrapped so it arrives complete and not scattered all over the shipping box. Lots of inserts are included. Note this isn't the original brand, but an equivalent. I don't use these on a regular basis, but it's great to have in the tool box for when it's needed.

I'm frequently finding damaged or stripped threaded holes in my line of work. So many so that I've started to dull my heli-coil tap.With the dull tap and needing inserts, I decided to get this kit instead. Time will tell how everything holds up, but so far it seems to be of good quality. The tap is decently sharp and stayed sharp through two holes so far.The inserts install easily enough and it's nice that it includes a tang punch as well.

This Helicoil kit is everything you need to make a strong and long-lasting thread repair. I had no trouble using the supplied drill bit on steel and aluminum. The plastic case is great for keeping things organized and secure. I am very pleased with this item.

Complete kit, includes literally everything you'd need to make a thread repair. The drill bit and tap are high speed steel, very high quality materials. Thread inserts are true stainless steel. I'm as impressed with this kit as I am the big name brands.

This kit includes everything you need except a drill. It works as expected. If you haven't used helicoils before just watch a video or two and you'll be good to go. The listing says 30 pieces, but that includes the tools, so there are really only 25 helicoils included. I do wish the storage case was smaller so it wouldn't take up so much space

Complete kit for M8 thread repair. Comes with HSS 8.4mm for re-drilling hole and stainless helicoils with setting tool and breakoff tab tool. Between this size and M6 it covers the bulk of the threads on my truck which suffer the most damaged nut and bolts from corrosion
