The Maasdam Pow'R Pull A-50 Long Haul Rope Puller Come Along Tool includes 50 feet of highway approved 1/2 diameter wear resistant Dacron polyester rope and can also accommodate an unlimited length of rope such as Dacron polyester rope - twisted or braided. It has a one-piece aluminum alloy ratchet wheel and high strength electro-plated steel parts. The A-50 features Notch-At-A-Time Let for positive control and a trouble-free letdown. It has a long, flexible reach; conforming to and protecting your load. The A-50 is ideal for recovering vehicles, clearing debris, handling trees, logs, stumps, securing materials to trucks, moving boats and trailers, transporting furniture, and other applications. This rope puller tool also features a reinforced ratchet guard and a pawl safety spacer sleeve. I used it for raising my 30’ ham radio fold over tower. Worked great. Having the 50’ rope on it was a big help. The only issue that I had was that I needed to keep pressure on outfeed side of the winch drum rope to keep it from slipping. It didn’t slip much but the light pressure I put on it kept it from slipping at all. It was the only tool that I could find that did the job.

It's an incredibly well-built and durable tool that feels built to last. While a bit pricier than some options, the quality construction, smooth operation, and ability to use any length of rope make it a worthwhile investment for tackling tough pulling jobs.

Works perfectly...much easier to use compared to cable versions, just lower weight rating!

This works like the normal come-along wire pullers I grew up with, except this puller can use an infinite length of rope vs a finite length cable. It is put together nicely and seems like it will hold up. I like it and recommend it, but also advise caution. When I used it to move my big heavy floating dock closer to shore, the rope slipped in the drum of the puller. To be fair the rope was a bit waxy from the factory, it was the first use, and I had a wet rope. The more tension I put on it, the better it held without slipping. I still ended up securing the load end of the rope because it had an unpredictable tendency to slip regardless of tension.With that said, I'd buy it again. It has a lot of applications. I think it will probably stop slipping after I get it broken in. Maybe I need some rope rosin or something for grip. Still good value for money.

Normal people seem to just use their tractor - I don't have a tractor. But I still need to cut down very precarious fallen trees, pull a dock out for the season, pull saplings, and a bunch of jobs like that. This puller has been a game changer. I figure it's good for about 300lbs of tension and if you run that through some pulleys, you can magnify that quite a bit. Maybe cable or chain based units can pull more, but the great thing about this one is that you can feed the rope at any point and this makes rigging your pull much easier. And once you start your pull you can pull the entire 50' rope if you want - I usually do a lot less obviously, but more than I would be able to with a cable puller. For setting up some tree cutting/managing tension this thing works great. Don't over tension it and use pulleys if you need more pull. Also you sometimes can help it by holding the outfeed rope fully wrapped around the tension pulley.

I bought this rope puller because it provides the ability to pull an item much farther than a standard cable puller without resetting the puller. It took me a while to figure out how to use it because I was trying to use it like a cable puller. The trick is to thread the rope through the puller, connect it to an anchor point and to what you want to pull and then pull all the slack out of the rope. It needs to be tight in order for the pulley to get enough friction to begin to pull the rope. I wish I'd bought one of these a long time ago. Very handy.

Don’t know how I survived without this awesome piece of gear. I can pull any tree with any lean anywhere I need it to go! After hundreds of pulls, it’s still my go to.

I like the endless ability and safety snatch lever the day this showed up at my door was perfect-some old fat man in a red suit was stuck on r roof with 8 nervous reindeer having a reindeer raisin making contest-needless 2 say had him pulled loose n on his way pronto thanks 2 my MIGHTY MASDAM ROPE PULLER and was so glad I had the 50 ft of rope included-them rain deer raisins made close quarters little iffy-
