Update: After using this box for a couple of weeks, this has been my go-to Plein air painting box. I really like the quality of the construction and the elegance of the design. The palette is not solid wood but the surface is easier to clean. The adjustable easel can hold panel of variety of sizes. More conveniently, I do not need to carry a separate wet canvas carrier. I tend to do sketch out door and work on finish paintings at the studio. The sketch box helps me to catch the fleeting light.Original:This is mostly for outdoor sketching. The adjustable panel holder can be used as a wet panel carrier. So everything fits into this box except for the solvent container and maybe the paper towel. It cannot be secured on a tripod. But I can place the box on my lap or on the picnic table. Due to its simplicity, I can start sketching in 10 seconds. No need to set up a tripod or carry a backpack.

The product didn't come with grooves for paint. so I turned it into a pencil case and had to source the sleeves for the pencils so now works well.would have liked it for my paints.gg

Needed a pochade for an overseas trip, unfortunately this arrived broken, it is also much larger than I thought so not suitable for travelling light, very disappointed in the item. Also, handed back to one of the depots more than a week ago and Amazon has still not processed the refund.
