This set has lots of tricks, and the props for some are better made than those for others. For example, the sliding compartments on the three-part-box couldn't be moved by any of the many kids who tried; it took a daring adult and brute force to make things move initially. Now they're sliding decently well. The instructions (even the ones in the videos you can reach via QR codes) could be a bit clearer for some of the tricks as well. On the other hand, it's not a bad thing that the kids need to think a little bit for themselves to figure out how a trick works. By and large, this is a good set that will keep kids (including those older than 8, especially if they want to impress their little siblings) entertained for quite a while.

9-year-old girl loves magic stuff. This is her second kit I got her. This one is so much more complex. The instructions need glasses for me but she can read them well. That's age for you. Great deal for the money great amount of fun. When she tries to explain how the magic trick works her eyes make me want to just laugh like crazy
