Great item for beginners in ready. The only dislike is for the price of the set, the drawings in the book should be in color & not black & white.

Love these chapter books for my just 5 year old son. He's reading on his own so I was looking for something that entertained him for longer as we are moving into the long term comprehension part of reading. We read a few chapters at night and talk about what happened from the night before. Some new vocabulary words pop up occasionally which is great. Got tired of trying to rent them in order from the library (which I think reading them in order makes the most sense to kids as they build on each other) so I bought these. I paid $40 for the set, which was definitely worth it to me. Hoping he reads them a couple of times.

My 3rd grader (shes a little behind for her age) LOVES these books and my 1st grader (she's advanced for her age) can read most of it on her own with some support with from me.

The books were in great condition, but don’t buy this if you are interested in the box they come in. The box is super thin and completely ripped apart in-transit.

When I took the wrapping off the box, took the books out to look at them, the box was not what I expected. It was a flimsy cardstock, not cardboard. I was very disappointed because I knew what the "box sets" were supposed to look like. For the price I expected a better Box to hold the books. I gave a 3 star because the storage is half the price.
