I had an old, sun-bleached, tufted cushion for my patio bench that I wanted to spruce up a bit. This cover fit the mission statement. The zipper was smooth, the fabric thick and colorful, and the size was perfect to fit my old cushion. I recommend measuring your cushion to ensure it will fit into this cover. The insertion was super easy. The zipper opens up halfway up the short sides and all the way across the back of the long side, so it was not difficult to insert the cushion into a large opening.I didn't need the ties as there is nothing to tie them to on my bench, so they weren't a consideration for my purchase, but it is a nice feature to have if you need it.

Getting a new cushion cover is a viable alternative to replacing the cushion. The cover does not compress the cushion insert, so it fills the cover nicely. There is no ‘break’ in the cover so where the original cushion creased, that’s what you’ll use. There’s tie-downs at the top and bottom, which seems fine if you are using the cushion the long way, but for a patio chair, this seems off. For a patio chair cushion, if you are used to tie-downs to the bottom of the seat back, there are none in the middle where the seat turns into the back.
