Installed two on my built in desk, fed by power from two power strips mounted on the underside of the desk. Not more power strips, transformers, and other clutter on my desk, all hidden now.The holes I bored using the dimensions suggested were a hair too big, but I used adhesive on the underside of the Grommet to attach it in place. Worked great.only 3 stars on easy to install and accuracy. If you don't have a drill and hole borer, it will cost you $$ to buy those to make the holesonly 3 stars on accuracy, as mentioned the holes I bored out were a hair too large and required adhesive. The ridges on the underside of the grommet could not "catch" firmly.

They are described as 2 inch diameter but are definitely a hair smaller. Wrapped them in p,attic tape and they are now snug, even when in vertical section.Nice for the price.

I recently installed an equipment rack for a few network-related pieces of hardware and some network cabling. The rack needed a couple of holes in the rear for access to cables coming through the wall in my new home. For primarily aesthetics, I decided to use a desk grommet to provide a finished look to the new holes and also to ensure that none of the cables (network and power) chaffed on the somewhat sharp edge of the hole. Since these grommets are 50mm in diameter, they are actually slightly smaller than 2-inches, a small amount of adhesive fixed them firmly in place. I didn't use the insert, but they snap into place firmly if needed for your application. Overall, a quality desk grommet at an excellent price.

As a cabinetmaker I use these a lot. These ones have a nice matte finish but they are way too loose in a 2" hole. I ended up putting hot glue around them. They should fit snug enough that you can pull the cover off without the entire thing easily coming out. Otherwise they are fine.

I do little "improvement" projects all the time. Whether they be home, office, or studio. A HUGE pet peeve of mine is to have areas cluttered with cables, especially when they could be easily hidden AND make more efficient use of space. These desk grommets are a nice clean way to clean up these ugly, but necessary cabling messes. I know there will be other "revisions" happening in the near future. So I'm glad I have these extras readily at hand.
