I used this for mahJongg, and the smoothness of the mat was terrific. The tiles slid smoothly when pushing out the wall on the silky surface. The backing and weight of the mat kept it in place throughout the game. It came folded, but I rolled it up immediately, put it in the carrying case, and the folding creases were gone in a matter of days. I would suggest to the manufacturer that they attache a carrying handle to the case. I improvised with a luggage strap.

Everyone comments on how nice this mat is and it’s gorgeous! Three people have ordered it since seeing mine. The only criticism is the carry bag doesn’t have a shoulder strap or handle, so it’s awkward to carry.

Pro: great deep blue is not garish like the bright blue in Gustaria's other mahjong mat photos. The paisley design is subtle. Nice large size 35" better than regular 33" version they sell. Works better on our large dining table.Con: Gustaria responded to a customer, after several issues about mats arrives with creases since they are shipped folded, to say they were solving the problem. It's not solved. Unless I can take time to figure out how to uncrease it, it's going back.
